typical meal set-up

after the summer palace, we went to a silk factory (very interesting) and then onto a peking duck dinner. again, yea for rice, coke and veggies. notice the fork as part of the place setting for us americans! after dinner, we finally came back to the hotel. this day was packed; we were gone almost 12 hours! they do this to help adjust us to the time change. but at about 2 o'clock this afternoon, you could tell the whole group was getting tired (that was 11pm, phoenix time, to our bodies). we were all a lot less talkative, we walked a lot slower and enjoyed the bus rides a lot more. they told us today was the most tire-some day. tomorrow we'll be back to the hotel at 6pm-ish and won't do nearly as much walking; altho-we'll be climbing the great wall-so i don't know which day will wipe us out more!? well, the tv is off, kev seems to be asleep and my eyes are stinging. good nite from beijing, and good morning america!

Hi kids,

Well, needless to say we didn't figure Kevin especially would eat some of the foods there!!! I don't think I would either if it's anything like what we had in Korea! So glad you all made it OK and are having a wonderful time. Only hours until you get your little Myah in your arms. Praise God! We can't wait to get to hug and kiss her soon. Can't wait to see pictures of when you see her the first time. I know the tears of joy will be flowing. We love the pictures and stories as you go along, what a neat way to share with family and friends. Well, you all be careful-we love you. Mom and Dad

Kevin and Jen,

I, like others, am glued to this webpage!! I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and layed there awake wondering if you had updated it yet. Finally at 4:00 a.m. I went back to sleep, but it was the first thing I checked this morning. As I read the comments from all the other people I realize how loved you two are by SO MANY people. We are just so excited for you and we can't thank you enough for letting us be a part of this wonderful chapter of your life. Do you realize you are just hour away from Myah?!? The countdown has begun. We love you and are praying for you. Keep eating that rice girlfriend!!

Jen, I have to second the "waking up in the middle of the night wondering if you had posted yet" thought!!! At Brigette's shower this morning we were all so excited talking about this website and wondering what you were doing at that moment and asking "has she posted yet?"!!! We feel such a part of this expereince, even in OKlahoma! It's pretty unanomous that we ALL want to be in PHX when your family gets off the plane!!! Thanks AGAIN for letting us be a part!!!! Prayers and hugs coming your way!
